T/TR For Thursday

Hello all,

Today, Professor John C. graciously contributed for a second presentation about Vogler. We discussed Vogler's critique of _Titantic_, _The Lion King_, and _Pulp Fiction_. We had a lot of discussion about Vogler and how the lens which Vogler has provided has created a way for us to look at the world. Breck mentioned that maybe art is just art, that it shouldn't have to connect to another attribute. We then discussed the difference necessary for interpretation and appreciation of art for art's sake and art as cultural artifact.

We then had a norming session concerning one of my undergrad texts. We settled on a medium grade or average evaluation for the text.

We also spent some time working on project three.

Write-work on rhetorical analysis

Do-Evaluate peer and self (due on Tuesday) providing one strength and one area for improvement on each of the four categories).
