M/W/F For Monday

Hello all,

Today we discussed our texts. With Zafon's quote "that few things leave a deeper mark on a reader than the first book that finds its way into his heart" as our lens, we crafted our list of books or texts that we felt left this mark, and we also discussed the validity and applicability of using these texts to teach others.

Here is the list of books and texts:
The Secret Garden
Stealing Freedom
The Time Traveler's Wife
Lord Darcy Collection by Randell Garrett
Fig Pudding
A Child Called It
The Island of the Blue Dolphin
Leaves of Grass
Kindred
Where the Red Fern Grows
Shot in the Heart
Walden
The Bible
The Grapes of Wrath
To Kill a Mockingbird
Ishmael
Rookie of the Year.

As we discovered sometimes the texts that leave the most profound mark on our understandings differ greatly from the texts which affect others.
