Hello all,
Today we had the last of our knowledge nuggets. You all created a representation of your understanding of _The Shadow of the Wind_. Max created a poem:
The book opened my eyes
For my father this was a pleasant surprise
Nothing about the author was what we knew
so we went to a man who's books were old
he looked at through his monocled eye with an attempt to get me to fold.
His wallet in hand and money on the table but something made me unable.
He glared at my father like horse out of stable.
My good old dad smiled and said i'm sorry it his too bad
At this point the man seemed mad angry with my greed.
but the simple truth was I just wanted to read.
A grin was exchanged and a deal was made.
Tomorrow my ordeal will be paved.
Awesome, Max, awesome.
We also talked about the power of reading. Please for discussion on Friday, bring a name of the reading that you felt affected you the most or still affects you.
I also returned your Project Two drafts. Please come and see me about revising your drafts.
For Friday....
Read-nothing
Write-Volunteers, Interviewings, and poster.
Do-think about your text.
Take care,
Kat
