Hello all,
Today in class, we talked about the reward and the road back. We discussed how the reward often comes later in the journey then we, as the reader and/or viewer, would like. In addition, we then went into how the reward is the a-ha moment which occurs when the hero experiences an epiphany which gives him or her a type of knowledge based on the experiences which he or she lived during the journey. We then shifted to discussing the road back, which is the stage in the journey when we initiate the journey back to ordinary world. We talked a lot about the setbacks which occur in our lives, that ultimately, as Chris O observed, put our knowledge/reward to the test.
For class on Tuesday, we need to focus on completing our project two draft. If you have not posted your draft yet, you need to do that asap. You need to make your revisions on your draft by Tuesday, to conduct a peer review session.
