Today, we focused on communicating ideas and moved from paragraph level concerns to sentence level concerns. Our "knowledge nugget" for Kerouac focused on crafting one good paragraph, and then we moved to locating one good sentence. We then discussed the importance of focusing on the relationship between the text, paragraph, and sentence. Remember, the text explores the topic, the paragraph explores aspects of the text's exploration of the topic, and the sentence explores aspects of the paragraph's exploration of the text's exploration of the topic. Here is a re-captured exploration of this exercise.

Also, we created and established our rubric for Project Two. Here is the overall rubric which we will be using.

In addition, we also established our Plagiarism Contract. Thanks to Class for drafting it in class.
We didn't really have a lot of time to watch the film _Reefer Madness_, so please take some time over break to watch and reflect on the link. It is good fun.
