M/W/F For Friday

Hello all,

To begin, we discussed the importance of locating ourselves in our world. We discussed metaphor and the importance of the "cockroach." In many ways we linked the ideas to Gregor and ultimately to ourselves. Andrew and Brooke had some fantastic observations, and hopefully, some research ideas are starting to percolate.

In addition, we discussed conducting research and putting ourselves in conversation with academic friends. Remember to keep a works cited and a bibliography or works consulted page/list. The project requires four sources (three articles and one book). You can use wikipedia to help, but don't stop there...keep asking the questions. In addition, remember to ask your "academic buddies" i.e. the research that you locate to help you i.e. look at the sources that they cited and used.

In addition, we discussed the importance of critical thinking and reading. We went through Bloom's taxonomy, and we created an understanding of "how to read."
