Hello all,
Today in class, we caught up a bit on questions and comments. We discussed the revision plan for project two drafts. For Friday, you need to revise your project two draft, and bring it to class for peer review. You will then revised the text using your peer feedback. You may than submit your draft for a second instructor revision; however, you are not required to do this, but you are strongly encouraged to submit your draft again. The polished draft is due on Nov. 7 (Friday).
In class today, we discussed the Bell Jar. Andrew had a vitrolic observation, that he supported well. We discussed the depressive quality of the work, which lead us to a discussion about mental health and the mental health complex. We discussed the history of mental health in the United States. This discussion lead us to think about performing as socitey expects us to, which lead us to beauty myths, sluts, and man-whores. Whew!! What an oddly amazing discussion.
