For 10/19 and 10/20

Hello all,

It was great getting the opportunity to discuss your research and areas of inquiry for your project twos during our meetings. I think that everyone that I visited with is on the right track as far as the project goes.

For class next week, I have a few reminders.

1. Thanks to the feedback which I have received through the mid-term survey (you can still access it at Click Here to take survey) I have realized that we need to slow the pace a bit, and to have a re-focusing. This manifested itself in our conferences, and some plans I have for the future.

2. Please make sure you post your Vogler annotation on your blog for the next class. Also, as a reminder, you need to prepare your annotations for the Mid-Term Annotated Bibliography review where you submit all of your Vogler annotations to this point for evaluation.

3. Complete the Thesis/focus exploration (which most of you accomplished during our meeting). Then, you will need to complete the pre-drafting/writing/outline exercise that we discussed. Bring this with you to class. If you want to complete it electronically, you can download it on engrade, and I will also email it to you all.

4. Have fun with your research. Go to the library. Hang out. Wander the stacks. Research is where you get to "hang out" with your academic buddies, so don't look at it as a chore, look at it as an opportunity.

Take care, and see you soon,

Kat
